In the Cherokee County Arrest Files for the previous 24 hours:

Edward Sexton, age 33 of Centre, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on a charge of the unauthorized use of a vehicle.

Larry Itson, age 70 of Gaylesville, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on a revoked bond.

Richard Glass, age 52 of Piedmont, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office for failure to appear on three previous charges.

Ansley Wilkin, age 34 of Leesburg, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on hold for another agency.

Melissa Smith, age 47 of Hokes Bluff, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on 3rd degree assault.

Arrests are based on probable cause; all subjects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Currently, there are a total of 79 inmates housed in the Cherokee County Detention Center.
