OXFORD, Ala.– Two Anniston men have been arrested following a shooting at Quintard Mall in Oxford over the weekend.

According to the Oxford Police Department, 20-year-old Lecroy Derron Wallace Jr. has been charged with attempted murder in connection with the incident.

Police say 19-year-old Malachi Zymere Taylor, also of Anniston, was arrested on a bond revocation and now faces additional charges of reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct.

Authorities say bonds for both suspects are expected to be set.

Oxford police emphasized that anyone coming into the city to commit acts of violence will be identified, arrested, and held accountable.

Investigators also thanked the officers and detectives involved, praising their professionalism and dedication in working to protect the community.
