COLLINSVILLE – The Collinsville Panthers scored a pair of runs in the bottom of the fifth inning to take a 3-1 baseball win over visiting North Sand Mountain on Tuesday.
Gavin Lang led the Panthers (5-1) at the plate by going 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs. Mason McAteer managed a hit and scored a run. Colton Pettus contributed a hit and a walk. Bronner Jones walked and scored a run. Noah Johnson drew a walk.
Brantley Daugherty picked up the win on the mound. He tossed four innings and gave up an unearned run on five hits with four strikeouts. Lang pitched three innings and gave up three hits and three walks with six strikeouts.
Collinsville is at Oakman on Friday.
