Jacob Smith, age 40 of Leesburg, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on on two grand jury indictments for possession of a controlled substance.

Kenneth Taylor, age 57 of Cedar Bluff, was arrested by the Leesburg Police Department on two counts of probation revocation.

Paul Alvarado, age 26 of Piedmont, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on a revoked bond.

Reyna Cervantes, age 27 of Collinsville, was arrested by an unnamed agency on unlisted charges.

Mary Latty, age 42 of Glencoe, was arrested by the Centre Police Department on charges of the unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, the unlawful possession of a controlled substance, and 2nd degree unlawful possession of marijuana.

Arrests are based on probable cause; all subjects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Currently, there are a total of 82 inmates housed in the Cherokee County Detention Center.
