JACKSONVILLE – The Cedar Bluff Lady Tigers improved to 21-6 on the basketball season with a 61-54 victory at Jacksonville Christian on Tuesday.
Kylie Vadon led the Class 2A, No. 5 Lady Tigers (21-6) with 29 points, including three 3-pointers. She also had six rebounds, four assists, and three steals.
Ciana Smith contributed 14 points, including a pair of 3-pointers, with five rebounds, and three steals. Janaya Higgins also hit a pair of treys and had 10 points, seven rebounds, two assists, and two steals. Scarlett Brown finished with five points, five rebounds, three steals, and two assists.
Modesti Carr led the Thunder with 20 points. Addy Lee sank three treys and had 14 points. Mollie Mullinax managed 12 points, including a pair of 3-pointers. Sophie Williams finished with eight points, including a pair of treys.
Cedar Bluff built an 18-7 lead at the end of the first quarter and led 30-19 at halftime. The Lady Tigers held a 43-33 edge at the end of three quarters.
Cedar Bluff takes on Gaston in the first round of the Class 2A, Area 13 tournament on Saturday at 5:30 p.m.
