JACKSONVILLE POST – A two-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 6:51 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 21, has claimed two lives.
Jerre L. Dingler, 83, of Delta was fatally injured when the 2006 Chrysler PT Cruiser he was driving collided head-on with the 2013 Honda CR-V driven by Destinee S. Easterwood, 29, of Delta. Dingler was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Skylar C. Glenn, 27, of Lineville, a passenger of the Honda, was also fatally injured. Glenn was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Easterwood was injured and transported to UAB Hospital in Birmingham for medical treatment.
The crash occurred on U.S. 431 near the 213 mile marker, approximately eight miles southwest of Heflin, in Cleburne County. Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
