GAYLESVILLE – Lydia Reynolds connected on three 3-pointers and finished with 18 points, but her effort wasn’t enough to lead the Gaylesville Lady Trojans past Valley Head on Friday in the Cherokee Invitational.
Behind Olivia Harrison’s 23 points, including a pair of treys, the Lady Tigers earned a 52-31 victory.
Reynolds scored all 11 points of the Lady Trojans’ points in the fourth quarter. Abbie Bishop added eight points for Gaylesville.
Sydney Ingram sank three 3-pointers and had 12 points for Valley Head. Annabelle Gifford gained seven points and Adleigh Lockett finished with five points.
Valley Head led 14-8 at the end of the first quarter and built a 28-16 advantage at halftime. The Lady Tigers held a 43-20 edge at the end of the third quarter.
