The Class 4A, Region 6 football coaches recently selected their all-region teams.
State runner-up and region champion Anniston (14-1) leads the way with 17 selections (8 first team, 6 second team), along with the overall Player of the Year in Damon Pope, Defensive Player of the Year Charles Thomas, and Coach of the Year Rico Jackson.
Ashville’s JB Potter was chosen as the Offensive Player of the Year.
The Cherokee County Warriors (7-4) had five first team and four second team selections. Warriors making the first team are running back Keyshawn Woods, offensive lineman Asa Holbert, tight end Ben Moseley, defensive lineman Dylan Duncan, and athlete Keshawn Thomas.
Warriors who made the second team are offensive linemen James Hunter and Jackson Doeg, linebacker Ethan Glass, and athlete Nate Black.
The Warriors also had five honorable mention players in Cooper Allen, Layton Baggett, Evan Hill, Tatum Perry, and Cayce Tittle.
