LEESBURG, Ala– Leesburg town leaders moved quickly through a light agenda at their council meeting Monday night. After approving the previous meeting’s minutes, the council authorized up to $1,000 for the Leesburg Fire Department’s annual Christmas party.
In new business, a motion was introduced—though not listed on the agenda—to recognize town employees for their work over the past year. The motion proposed giving each employee a $250 holiday bonus. The council voiced support as the town wraps up what officials described as a “great year” for Leesburg.
