Gadsden Panera Bread Announces December Closure After Nearly a Decade

Gadsden-Panera Bread has announced it will close its Gadsden café on December 7, marking the end of nearly 10 years in the community. The company shared the news with customers this week, expressing appreciation for the patrons and friendships formed over the years.

In its statement, Panera said the café will continue operating as normally as possible through the final month, inviting guests to visit and enjoy a meal before the doors close for good. Staff members noted they will “miss the community and friends we have made dearly.”

The closure comes shortly after another longtime Gadsden restaurant, Villa Fiesta, announced it would also be shutting down. Both announcements have sparked conversation among residents about the changing landscape of local dining options.
