Colleen “Candy” Audrey Woods-Brasell Cabaniss

Colleen “Candy” Audrey Woods-Brasell Cabaniss, age 80, of Gadsden,Alabama, entered
peacefully into the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at Riverview Regional Medical Center.

A celebration of her life and faith will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 1, 2025, in the Chapel of Perry Funeral Home, with Bro. Don Hunton officiating. The
family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.

Candy is survived by her loving husband, Lynn Cabaniss; her sons, Doug
Brasell and Garrett Brasell; her daughter, Kristen Hutchinson (Brandon); her brother, JohnWoods; her step-son Paul Brasell; her step-daughter Ashlee Brasell; her cherished grandchildren, Libby and Clara Hutchinson, Connor, Carter, and Alexandra Brasell; granddaughter Skylar Brasell Chukka; niece Keri Triste Hanks; grand niece Avery Parrish; brother in-law Sonny Cannon (Jo); her step-son,
Brandon Cabaniss (Denise); her step-granddaughter, Danielle Cabaniss;
and her BFF, Karen Hamilton. She will also be lovingly remembered by her church family at Lookout Mountain Cowboy Church in Collinsville, Alabama.

She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Colonel Robert A. and
Audrey F. Woods, her former husband Travis C. Brasell, Jr., brother in-law Matt Brasell, and by her identical twin sister and lifelong best friend, Janice “Jandy” Woods Hanks.

Candy was a devoted follower of Christ and a faithful servant throughout
her life. Born in Fresno, California traveling the world with her U.S. Air Force family,
and long term resident of Mobile and Gadsden, Alabama, she spent her life sharing the love of Jesus through acts of kindness, words of encouragement, and steadfast prayer.

She and her twin sister, Jandy—known affectionately as “Candy and Jandy”—shared an unbreakable bond that reflected God’s perfect design for love and family.

Candy’s legacy of faith, family, and service will live on through all who knew her. She loved her family deeply, treasured her church community, and inspired others through her joyful spirit and unshakable trust in the Lord.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Lookout Mountain Cowboy Church YOUTH, in Collinsville, Alabama, where Candy found so much joy,
fellowship, and purpose.
