SYLACAUGA – Cole Austin completed 8-of-9 pass attempts for 291 yards and four touchdowns to lead the Piedmont Bulldogs to a 61-0 rout at B.B. Comer on Friday.

The Bulldogs (5-0) built a 47-0 halftime edge, which led to their second shutout this season.

Rollie Pinto led the Piedmont pass catchers with four catches for 166 yards and two scores. Mason Morrow made a pair of catches for 111 yards and a touchdown. Nick Mixson had a receiving touchdown and also had four carries for 56 yards with a touchdown.

Noah Bolton led the Bulldog ground game with a pair of carries for 92 yards and a score. Jaxson Howard and Eli Johnson also had a rushing touchdown apiece.

Xanthan Wood blocked a punt which was recovered by Ben Tolbert for a touchdown in the second quarter. Ben Dempsey had an interception in the third quarter that led to another Bulldog score.

Piedmont is at Locust Fork on Friday.
