Qualifying for Municipal offices ended at 5 pm Tuesday afternoon

In Centre, there will not be a contested Mayoral Race. Jay Howell was the only person who qualified for the Office. He will be the next Mayor of Centre.

In the City Council race, there were 17 who qualified and are seeking office. Those are: Torey Chandler, Caretha Clifton, Don Cothran, Kay King Davis, Sid Garrett, Brittany Golden, Mark Jason Green, Scott Hays, Terry Joe Lindsey, Billy F Pruitt, Phillip L. Roberts, Karen Yarbrough Slupe, Parker Smith, Don Stowe, Cedric Williams, Jimmy Williams, Ken Woodall.

The names are listed alphabetically and will appear on the ballot in this order on August 26. Cothran, Davis, and Roberts are incumbents seeking reelection.
