Early Morning Structure Fire Destroys Home Near Gaylesville
Gaylesviile- A structure fire early this morning left a home near Gaylesville in ruins. The call came in just before 6 AM, reporting a residential fire just outside of town in the 2000 Block of County Road 89.
When first responders arrived on scene, the house was already fully engulfed in flames. Fire units from Gaylesville, Cedar Bluff, Broomtown/Rinehart, Tuckers Chapel, the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office, and Atrium Floyd EMS all responded quickly to the call.
Firefighters battled the blaze in tough conditions, as heavy rain initially hampered efforts—eventually tapering off into a light drizzle as crews worked.
Unfortunately, due to the advanced stage of the fire when it was discovered, the structure was a total loss. The good news: no injuries have been reported.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
