The Piedmont Bulldogs (7-1) and Collinsville Panthers (6-1) both maintained their respective spots in Class 2A in the latest Alabama Sports Writers Association high school football rankings. The latest poll was released early Wednesday morning.

Piedmont is still ranked fifth, while Collinsville comes in at No. 8. The Bulldogs travel to Vincent (2-5) on Friday, while Collinsville travels to top-ranked Fyffe (7-0).

Other area games this week include Good Hope (6-1) at Cherokee County (4-3) in the Foothills Tractor Mahindra Game of the Week, Appalachian (4-3) at Cedar Bluff (3-4), Gaylesville (3-3) at Ragland (2-6), and Sand Rock (3-4) at Pisgah (4-3).
