RAINBOW CITY– The Rainbow City Fire Department has promoted Luke Palacios to lieutenant and Jeremy Hawkins to assistant chief.

Palacios previously served as a firefighter. Meanwhile, Hawkins moves into his new role after serving as a captain.

The department said both men have demonstrated dedication, leadership, and a strong work ethic. Officials also praised their willingness to take on greater responsibilities while serving Rainbow City residents.

In addition, the department said their professional growth will help strengthen its future leadership. Officials congratulated both men and said they look forward to their continued service to the department and community.

The department also recently hired firefighter Jackson Pruett and promoted Taylor Clough to fire marshal.
