TRENTON– Authorities have captured the suspect in a Dade County shooting that injured two men Tuesday, Sept. 29.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation confirmed the arrest of Colbin Quinn Davis, 28, of Trenton, around 8:45 p.m. Authorities then booked him into the Dade County Jail.

Earlier, Dade County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded around 10:30 a.m. to a home in the 400 block of Michael’s Road. The initial call reported a man with a gunshot wound.

However, deputies found two men outside the home with apparent gunshot wounds. Both men went to a regional hospital for treatment.

Investigators later identified Davis as the alleged shooter and obtained aggravated assault warrants.

The arrest ends the search described in WEIS Radio’s initial report. However, the GBI’s update does not identify the victims or provide their current conditions.

Meanwhile, the investigation continues at the sheriff’s office’s request. Once complete, the GBI will submit the case to the Lookout Mountain Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office for prosecution.
