In the Cherokee County Arrest Files for the previous 24 hours:

Justin Godfrey, age 35 of Centre, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on charges of the unlawful possession of a controlled substance and the unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

John Sewel, age 31 of Gadsden, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on a charge of obstructing justice false ID.

Arrests are based on probable cause; all subjects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Currently, there are a total of 102 inmates housed in the Cherokee County Detention Center.
