Fort Payne Man Killed in Interstate 59 Crash Near Collinsville

Interstate 59 crash near Collinsville that killed Fort Payne resident Roger G. Killian.

COLLINSVILLE- A Fort Payne man died Wednesday afternoon in a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 59 in DeKalb County.

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency identified the victim as Roger G. Killian, 79.

ALEA said Killian was driving a 2004 Toyota Tacoma when the vehicle left the roadway, struck a ditch, and overturned. Killian was pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash occurred at approximately 4 p.m. near DeKalb County Road 483. The location is about five miles north of Collinsville.

Troopers with ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate the crash. No additional information was available.
