In the Cherokee County Arrest Files for the previous 24 hours:

Gary Smith, age 51 of Cedar Bluff, was arrested by the Cedar Bluff Police Department on a charge of contempt of court.

Shirley Cooper, age 43 of Menlo, Georgia, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’ Office for failure to appear on two previous charges.

James Crane, age 59 of Cedar Bluff, was arrested by the Cedar Bluff Police Department on a charge of contempt in court.

Arrests are based on probable cause; all subjects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Currently, there are a total of 94 inmates housed in the Cherokee County Detention Center.
