In the Cherokee County Arrest Files for the previous 24 hours:

Gunner Patton, age 33 of Leesburg, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on charges of 2nd degree unlawful possession of marijuana, the unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, and probation revocation as well as for failure to appear on three previous charges.

Christopher Hunter, age 45 of Centre, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office for failure to appear on a previous charge.

Daniel Swindall, age 43 of Piedmont, was arrested by the Leesburg Police Department on charges of the unlawful possession of a controlled substance and the unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

Lisa Bennett, age 44 of Cedar Bluff, was arrested by the Cedar Bluff Police Department on hold for another agency.

Arrests are based on probable cause; all subjects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Currently, there are a total of 88 inmates housed in the Cherokee County Detention Center.
