225 Boat Teams Competing for Top Prize of $15,000
The Alabama Bass Trail, North Division made their final stop of the season on Weiss Lake Saturday for the wrap up of 2026.
The first place team brought in 5 fish weighing 22.27 lbs. It was the team of Gary Thompson and Billy Wallace earning a check of $15,000 for their First Place Win.
Second place team is Brett Harrell and Tyler Smart, a local team from Centre, with a five fish limit weighing 21.44 lbs. The 2nd place prize was $2500.
The third place team is Stephen McAvoy and John Kellett with a five fish limit weighing 20.48 lbs. The third place prize was $1000.
The first place team had the big fish of the day with a 6.60 pounder. The second place team had the second biggest fish of the day weighing 6.23 pounds and the third place team had the 3rd biggest with a 5.04 pound fish.
The Cherokee County Chamber of Commerce Teamed up with the Alabama Bass Trail to bring this special event to Weiss Lake.
