In the Cherokee County Arrest Files for the previous 24 hours:

Byron Mincey, age 64 of Kennesaw, Georgia, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on charges of resisting arrest, 2nd degree possession of marijuana, governmental operations, and aggravated assault on a police officer-strong arm.

Camden Ferguson, age 37 of Cedar Bluff, was arrested by the Leesburg Police Department on charges of the unlawful possession of a controlled substance, the unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, the possession of hemp, and 2nd degree unlawful possession of marijuana.

Joseph Maxwell, age 56 of Centre, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on a court order.

Arrests are based on probable cause; all subjects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Currently, there are a total of 83 inmates housed in the Cherokee County Detention Center.
