Mr. Billy Wade Trammell, age 88, of Centre, Alabama, passed away peacefully on May 18, 2026.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, from 9:00 until 11:00 a.m. at Pine Grove Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the church with Rev. Ricky Pollard officiating. Burial will follow in Cherokee Memory Gardens.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Eva Trammell; son, Tim (Haley) Trammell; daughter, Terri “Cindy” Martin (Alan); brothers, Wayne (Dot) Trammell, Pete Trammell, and Shorty (Frankie) Trammell; sister, June (Wayne) Maddox; grandchildren, Wade (Ashley) Trammell, Reid (Samantha) Duvall, and Ty Trammell; and great-grandson, Harris Duvall.
Mr. Trammell was a longtime member of Pine Grove Baptist Church and lived his life grounded in his Christian faith. He will be remembered for his patience, wisdom, and the love he showed to his family, friends and everyone around him. He set an example of what it means to be a loving husband, caring father, and man of strong integrity and character. He enjoyed spending time on the golf course as a lifetime member of Cherokee Pines Golf Club, where he developed strong friendships that have lasted a lifetime. He was also a lifelong fan of Alabama Crimson Tide football. Through his steady guidance and kind spirit, he taught his family lessons that will be treasured for generations.
Pallbearers will be Wade Trammell, Reid Duvall, Shorty Trammell, Pete Trammell, Tim Gifford, and Alan Martin.
Honorary pallbearers are Wayne Trammell and Gerald Reiger, Charles Brannon, Randall McCord, Johnny Bentley, Joe Hall, Terry Adams, Jack Waters, Bobby Porter, JW Myrick, Horace Neyman and Graham Tolbert.
Mr. Trammell was born on May 17, 1938, to Jerry and Winnie Ledbetter Trammell.
Family is accepting flowers or donations to Pine Grove Baptist Church Building Fund.
