In the Cherokee County Arrest Files for the previous 24 hours:

Justin Thompson, age 35 of Gaylesville, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office for failure to appear on two previous charges.

Alexandria Pena, age 34 of Centre, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on charges of the unlawful possession of  a controlled substance, the unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, and bond revocation.

Cody McClesky, age 39 of Centre, was arrested by the Centre Police Department for failure to appear on a previous charge.

Jessica Cole, age 28 of Centre, was arrested by the Centre Police Department on a charge of larceny theft shoplifting $500 or less.

Jason Nicholson, age 47 of Centre, was arrested by the Centre Police Department on a charge of larceny theft shoplifting $500 or less.

Eric Bray, age 51 of Piedmont, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on two charges of probation revocation.

Tyler Bishop, age 30 of Lyerly, Georgia, was arrested by the Cedar Bluff Police Department on hold for another agency.

Chase Kirby, age 47 of Centre, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on a charge of 3rd degree domestic violence.

Laura Wheat, age 61 of Cedar Bluff, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on a charge of revoked bond.

Enrique Tomas, age 39 of Birmingham, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on a charge of 3rd degree criminal trespassing.

Russell Maxwell, age 62 of Centre, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on charges of the unlawful possession of a controlled substance and the unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

Arrests are based on probable cause; all subjects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Currently, there are a total of 81 inmates housed in the Cherokee County Detention Center.
