During the regular meeting of the Piedmont City Council Tuesday evening, bills for payment in the amount of $396,118 were approved as was the minutes from the previous meeting.
The Council approved ordinance 645 which is a franchise agreement with Spectrum Southeast LLC. A Citizen Participation Plan for the City to participate in the Community Development Block Grant Program and authorized the Mayor to sign the agreement. This could give the City some funds to help with paving in some of the neighborhoods throughout the City. If the Block Grant is approved, it will have to have a 20 percent match from the City.
The next Piedmont City Council Meeting is set for May 19th at 5:30 pm in the Council Chambers.
