In the Cherokee County Arrest Files for the previous 24 hours:
Rudy Mills, age 50 of Piedmont, was arrested by the Centre Police Department on charges of 2nd degree bail jumping-resisting arrest and 2nd degree bail jumping-illegal possession of prohibit, as well as for failure to appear on four previous charges.
John Spratling, age 58 of Rome, Georgia, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriffs’ Office on charges of the unlawful possession of a controlled substance, the unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, attempting to elude, and the possession of a hemp product.
Alice Davis, age 42 of Cottondale, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on charges of the unlawful possession of a controlled substance-cocaine, the unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, chemical endangerment, and the unlawful possession of a controlled substance-meth.
James Hackett, age 39 of Cedar Bluff, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on charges of the unlawful possession of a controlled substance, the unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, and 2nd degree unlawful possession of marijuana.
Arrests are based on probable cause; all subjects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Currently, there are a total of 89 inmates housed in the Cherokee County Detention Center.
