Mrs. Willie Sue Hanks, age 91 of Cedar Bluff, passed away on April 28, 2026, at her residence.
A graveside service will be held at 11 AM on Friday, May 1, 2026 at Hardeman/Hanks Cemetery in Cedar Bluff. Her family will be receiving friends from 9:30 AM until 10:30 AM at the Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home Chapel.
Survivors include her sons, David (Betty) Hanks and James Hanks; daughter, Gail Parker; grandson, Gerry (Tanya) Parker; great grandson, Hayden Parker; 3 step-great grandchildren; sister, Jean Anthony; sisters-in-law, Evelynn Farrow and Barbara Farrow; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Mrs. Hanks was born to the late Roy and Lois Farrow in Cherokee County, AL. Willie enjoyed tending to her flower beds, sewing, cooking, and working in her yard. When she wasn’t busy, you could always bet she was talking on the phone to some of her friends or closest family! Her grand and great grandchildren were her ultimate joy.
She is preceded in death by her late husband, MD Hanks; granddaughter, Kimberly Parker; brothers, Roy, Jr., Tommy, and Bob Farrow; sisters, Ann and Peggy.
The family will be accepting flowers, which can be conveniently purchased on our online store, or at any local florist.
