Cherokee County Arrest Files for Wednesday, April 29

In the Cherokee County Arrest Files for the previous 24 hours:

Tommy Farist, age 61 of Cedar Bluff, was arrested by the Cedar Bluff Police Department on a charge of driving under the influence.

Beverly Maxwell, age 56 of Gadsden, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office for failure to appear on four previous charges.

John Roland, age 54 of Cedar Bluff, was arrested by the Cedar Bluff Police Department on a charge of public intoxication.

Buenaventura Cruz, age 56 of Cleveland, Tennessee, was arrested by the Leesburg Police Department on a charge of public intoxication.

Trenton Thompson, age 25 of Gadsden, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office for failure to appear on a previous charge.

Phillip Slayton, age 34 of Piedmont, was arrested by the Cedar Bluff Police Department for failure to appear on two previous charges.

Brenda Bishop, age 55 of Piedmont, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office for failure to appear on five previous charges.

Geoffrey Guinther, age 54 of Gadsden, was arrested by the Cedar Bluff Police Department on charges of two counts of the unlawful possession of a controlled substance, 2nd degree unlawful possession of marijuana, and the unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

Arrests are based on probable cause; all subjects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Currently, there are a total of 86 inmates housed in the Cherokee County Detention Center.
