In the Cherokee County Arrest Files for the previous 24 hours:

Jeremy Burt, age 45 of Cedar Bluff, was arrested by the Centre Police Department for failure to appear on two previous charges.

Eric Jones, age 50 of Piedmont, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on a charge of the unlawful possession of a controlled substance.

Ashley Evans, age 35 of Leesburg, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office for failure to appear on a previous charge.

Arrests are based on probable cause; all subjects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Currently, there are a total of 85 inmates housed in the Cherokee County Detention Center.
