In the Cherokee County Arrest Files for the previous 24 hours:

Benny Pope, age 55 of Lindale, Georgia, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on a charge of the unlawful possession of a controlled substance.

April Distefano, age 52 of Piedmont, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on a charge of the unlawful possession of a controlled substance.

Jonathan Culver, age 43 of Centre, was arrested by the Centre Police Department on a charge of 4th degree theft of property.

Trinity Brown, age 22 of Leesburg, was arrested by the Cedar Bluff Police Department for failure to appear on two previous charges.

Arrests are based on probable cause; all subjects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Currently, there are a total of 84 inmates housed in the Cherokee County Detention Center.
