Governor Kay Ivey Sets Execution Window for Jeffery Lee Scheduled for June 2026

MONTGOMERY — Governor Kay Ivey on Wednesday set the execution window for Alabama death row inmate Jeffery Lee, scheduling it to begin at 12:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 11, 2026, and expire at 12:00 a.m. on Friday, June 12, 2026.
The execution is to be carried out by nitrogen hypoxia, a method authorized under Alabama law.
In a letter to Alabama Department of Corrections Commissioner John Hamm, the governor formalized the timing following a related order from the Alabama Supreme Court.
Additional documents, including the governor’s correspondence and the court order, were also released.
