Missing Jacksonville Man Found Deceased; Suspects in Custody
JACKSONVILLE — A Jacksonville man who had been missing since late January has been found deceased, according to Jacksonville Police Chief Marcus Wood.
Patrick Slade Boothe, 51, was last seen leaving the Parker Place SW area of Jacksonville on Jan. 23. Authorities confirmed that individuals connected to his death are now in custody. Due to the ongoing investigation, police said additional details, including the suspects’ identities and potential charges, will be released at a later time.

Law enforcement officials said they have been in contact with Boothe’s family and are asking for prayers and privacy during this time. All media inquiries are being directed to Chief Wood’s office at the Jacksonville Police Department.
Multiple agencies assisted in the investigation, including the Oxford Police Department, Oxford Aviation Unit and East Metro Area Crime Center, the Calhoun/Cleburne Violent Crimes Task Force, the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office, the Talladega County Sheriff’s Office and Talladega County Drug Task Force, the Pell City Police Department, the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office, the Alabama Game & Fish Division, the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency and the FBI.
Boothe had previously been the subject of a public search after he was reported missing for more than a week. At the time, police said he may have been traveling in a white 2007 Lexus GX with gold-colored wheels bearing Alabama license plate number 11C1D49. He was described as a white male, approximately 5 feet 9 inches tall and 185 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes, and a Kappa Sigma fraternity tattoo on his left ankle.
