JACKSONVILLE, Ala.– Jacksonville police have arrested a Talladega man in connection with a Christmas Eve shootout that left four people injured, Police Chief Marcus Wood confirmed.

Brandon Dandridge, 24, of Talladega, was taken into custody Wednesday evening and charged with second-degree assault, a Class C felony. He is being held on a $20,000 bond. His initial court appearance is scheduled for Jan. 29.
The shooting occurred last week during a Christmas party held in the community room at Hickory Run Apartments. Police said Dandridge was identified as one of several individuals involved in the exchange of gunfire and was also among those injured during the incident.
“This is the first arrest of many,” Wood said. “Investigators have been working nonstop since this happened and will continue until we are able to obtain warrants for all other shooters involved.”
Chief Wood also thanked the Talladega County Sheriff’s Office and the Talladega County Drug Task Force for assisting in locating Dandridge.
“We take these kinds of crimes seriously, and we investigate them seriously,” Wood added. “We recognize that our suspects don’t live in Jacksonville — and maybe not even in Calhoun County — but we will go wherever we need to in order to put a stop to this kind of activity.”
The investigation remains ongoing.
