Motorcycle Crash Claims Life of Guntersville Man in Blount County

Blount County — A single-vehicle motorcycle crash Wednesday afternoon claimed the life of a Guntersville man, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA).

ALEA State Troopers reported that the crash occurred at approximately 4:25 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 7, along Hopewell Road near Phillips Road in Blount County. Stevie L. Noblitt, 52, was operating a 1999 Harley-Davidson motorcycle when the vehicle left the roadway, struck a dog, and then collided with a tree.

Noblitt sustained fatal injuries in the crash and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Troopers with ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash. No additional information was available as of press time.
