Etowah County Sheriff’s Office Adds New Trucks for K9 Unit
The Etowah County Sheriff’s Office has taken another step toward ensuring deputies have the equipment needed to best serve the community, adding the first of two 2025 Chevrolet Silverado Police Pursuit Vehicles (PPVs) to its fleet this week.
The new trucks will be assigned to the department’s ACE Unit deputies, who work alongside their K9 partners. The Silverado PPVs provide the space, reliability, and capability required for both deputies and their dogs to respond effectively to a wide range of situations.
From routine patrols to special operations, dependable vehicles are a critical tool for law enforcement, allowing quick response times and efficient operations. The Sheriff’s Office says these trucks are just the beginning, with additional vehicle upgrades planned for the Enforcement Division in the coming months.
Officials thanked the community for its continued support, noting that investments like these are made possible through that partnership and directly contribute to keeping Etowah County safe.
