Gadsden Firefighters Quickly Contain Structure Fire in East Gadsden
GADSDEN, Ala. – Gadsden Fire Department crews responded swiftly to a structure fire Monday in the territory covered by Engine 7. The blaze broke out at a single-story wood-frame home, with heavy smoke and visible flames reported from the AD corner of the structure.
Engine 7 was first on the scene and quickly initiated an interior attack, successfully extinguishing the flames before the fire could spread further. Their rapid response is credited with minimizing damage and preventing injuries.
Additional units responding to the incident included Rescue 1, Engine 1, Engine 8, Quint 4, Engine 5, Engine 6, and Battalion 1. Gadsden’s Tactical Officer 1 (TO1) and Fire Marshal 1 (FM1) were also on the scene to assist with operations and initiate an investigation into the cause of the fire.
No injuries were reported, and the fire is currently under investigation.
