(NEW YORK) — Two court security officers were stabbed while screening people at the metal detectors at the Manhattan criminal courthouse on Monday morning, according to law enforcement sources.

One court officer was slashed in the face and the other was slashed in the neck, the sources said. Both were taken to a local hospital in stable condition, sources said.

It appears the suspect pushed a third officer into a barrier when that officer tried to stop him from coming into the courthouse, sources said.

The suspect is in custody, the sources said.
