CENTRE, Ala. – In honor of National Child Abuse Prevention Month, Atrium Health Floyd Cherokee Medical Center has planted a vibrant display of blue pinwheels in front of the hospital to raise awareness about child abuse prevention and show solidarity with children and families across Cherokee County.
The pinwheel, recognized nationally as a symbol of child abuse prevention, represents the hope, health, and happiness every child deserves. This initiative serves as a powerful reminder of the importance of protecting children and supporting families within the community.
The Children’s Advocacy Center (CAC) of Cherokee County extends its heartfelt thanks to Atrium Health Floyd Cherokee for their continued support and commitment to our mission. Their advocacy plays a crucial role in helping us raise awareness and provide vital services to children who have experienced abuse.
“We are truly grateful for the support of Atrium Health Floyd Cherokee,” said Lori Harris of the CAC of Cherokee County. “Efforts like these help shine a light on a difficult issue and bring our community together in support of children’s safety and well-being.”
The CAC of Cherokee County remains dedicated to providing a safe, child-friendly environment where abused children can receive the care, support, and advocacy they need.
