RAINSVILLE – Collinsville split a pair of games in the DeKalb County Softball Tournament on Saturday. The Lady Panthers outlasted Valley Head 12-10, then lost to Ider 12-2.
In the win over Valley Head, Collinsville rallied from an early five-run deficit and held on for the win.
Ella Coker went 2-for-4 with a triple, a double, a walk, three runs and a RBI. Carlee Davis was 2-for-4 with a pair of doubles, two runs and three RBIs. Bella Wills was 2-for-3 with a double, a walk, a run and a RBI. Jemma Smith also went 2-for-3 with a double, a walk, two runs and three RBIs. Maelee Barkley was 2-for-4 with a walk and three RBIs.
Lexii Burt had a hit a walk, two runs and a RBI. Aubrey Reeves also had a hit with a pair of runs. Gabriella Whitmore finished with a walk.
Wills earned the win after working 4 2/3 innings. She gave up an earned run on five hits with two walks and seven strikeouts. Smith tossed 1 1/3 innings and allowed four unearned runs on two hits with three walks and a strikeout.
In the loss to Ider, Reeves went 3-for-3 with a pair of doubles and a run. Whitmore was 2-for-2 with a run. Coker finished with a hit and two RBIs.
Barkley pitched four innings and gave up eight earned runs on 10 hits with a walk and a strikeout. Wills worked an inning and allowed four earned runs on a pair of hits with three walks.
