Armuchee- An Armuchee woman was arrested in relation to setting fires that spread resources thin recently during an outbreak of wildfires on March 23rd.
Ainsley Brianna Sutton, 22 of Armuchee, has been arrested in that case, and was booked into the Floyd County Jail on charges of three felony counts of 1st-degree arson and single counts of destroying or damaging any material or device used in the detection or suppression of wildfires and reckless conduct. She apparently had gotten angry with her family, and started a blaze that had placed homes in danger, and did damage one home and destroyed a shed.
When authorities arrived at the scene of the fire, Sutton was present, and covered in ash. She admitted to starting the fire using a lighter and pine straw. She was taken to an area hospital for evaluation on the day of the fire, but was not arrested until Tuesday Morning for the crime.
