Spring Garden rallies for 6-4 area baseball win at Jacksonville Christian

JACKSONVILLE – The Spring Garden Panthers rallied from an early three-run deficit to take a 6-4 area baseball win at Jacksonville Christian on Tuesday.

Clayton Sadler doubled, walked and drove in a pair of runs for the Panthers. Carson Bostick also doubled and scored a run. Joel Hunter had a hit, a walk and two RBIs. Johnny Baker contributed a hit, a run and a RBI. Grey Simpson delivered a hit, a walk and a RBI. Hunter Parris posted a hit and a run. John Welsh scored two runs and Brady Ruark scored a run. Hayes Garmon walked three times and Connor Bates drew a walk.

Zane Edwards earned the win after working 4 2/3 innings. He gave up a pair of earned runs on three hits with two walks and three strikeouts.

Sadler tossed 2 1/3 innings of one-hit ball. He also finished with three strikeouts.

The two teams are scheduled to finish their series on Thursday at Spring Garden beginning at 4 p.m.
