Helen Virginia Jones, 92, of Cedar Bluff, AL was called to be with the Lord on March 7, 2025. She was a faithful member of Cedar Bluff Baptist Church and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

Helen was greatly known for her dedication to the community. She found pleasure in baking and she frequently volunteered at the Centre Nursing Home with her baked goods.

Helen had a love of travel. She and her late husband, Norman Jones, Sr. explored many different states in the U.S, as well as being world travelers several times over, in their younger years.

More than anything, Helen loved being surrounded by her family. It brought her immense joy to visit her children and grandchildren, as well as her friends.

Left to cherish Helen’s memories are her children; Ayn Cagney, Lee (Betty) Maddox of Tucker, GA, Daniel Maddox of Athens, GA, Clay (Sue) Maddox, Norman Eddy Jones, Jr. of Cedar Bluff, AL, (step) Carolyn Carter of Rockmart, GA, (step) Brenda (Larry) Bennett of Ellijay, GA, and (step) Charlotte(Millard) Davis of Atlanta, GA; seventeen grandchildren; twenty-six great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Helen was preceded in death by her loving husband; Norman Jones, Sr., her parents; Walter and Sarah Ford; siblings, Benton, Howard, Jake, Henry , Lewis, Mary Ellen, and Pauline Ford; and grandson Teddy Carter.

Services will be held at 2:00PM on March 12, 2025 at Perry Funeral Home in Centre, AL with Pastor Mark Cosby officiating, the family will receive friends from 1:00PM Interment will follow at Weiss Lake Memorial Gardens in Gaylesville, AL.

Helen will forever be in our hearts. May she rest in peace.
