HOKES BLUFF – The Hokes Bluff Eagles sank eight 3-pointers and ended Cherokee County’s basketball season with a 53-38 Class 4A boys sub-regional victory on Saturday.

Bryce Whitaker led the Eagles with18 points. Logan Carr contributed 14 points. Noah Johnson and Anderson Morgan scored eight points apiece.

Ben Moseley topped the Warriors with 10 points, four rebounds and two blocks. Jayquan Diamond collected eight points, 13 rebounds, a steal and an assist. Reid Jacoway delivered seven points, two rebounds and two assists. Owen Jacoway finished with six points, four rebounds and two steals.

Hokes Bluff advances to Northeast Regional play at Jacksonville State University on Thursday where it will face Madison Academy. Cherokee County’s season ends at 12-9.
