An 18 wheeler lost part of its load at the intersection of Cedar Bluff road and Powell Drive at approximately 12:50 P.M Today. The report was the truck maneuvered to miss an oncoming vehicle. After the truck served to miss the vehicle the cargo shifted and landed on the side of the highway. The material was deemed as corrosive and was being carefully removed from the roadside.
No injuries were reported at this time. The units responding were Centre fire, Centre police, EMA and Cherokee EMS. We will update this story as it develops.
