Calhoun County Sheriff Matthew Wade reached a significant milestone in his career. He was recently sworn in and took the Oath of Office as the new President of the Alabama Sheriff’s Association (ASA). Wade was elected to the position by his fellow Sheriff’s across the state of Alabama. This honor reflects the respect and high regard in which he is held by his peers.
As President, Sheriff Wade will represent all 67 Sheriffs in Alabama. He will provide a significant voice for law enforcement and advocate for policy that supports the safety and well-being of communities state wide.
Wade emphasized the importance of collaboration and leadership. Speaking on his new role he stated “It’s an honor to serve not just my county, but all Sheriffs across the state. Our role is to ensure laws affecting law enforcement are both fair and beneficial, while opposing legislation that could harm the office of Sheriff or the people of Alabama.”
