WEAVER – Top-ranked Spring Garden improved to 19-0 on the basketball season with a 70-53 win at Weaver on Monday.

John Welsh led the way for the Panthers with a game-high 34 points. Noah Barber sank a pair of 3-pointers and had 10 points. Connor Bates and Jake Welsh both tossed in nine points. Jaylen Brown finished with eight points.

KeShawn Allen led the Bearcats with 17 points. Kaden Gooden added 12 points, including a pair of 3-pointers. Harper Williams had 10 points. DJ Marbury and Lorenzo Blake both finished with six points. Blake’s points came on a pair of 3-pointers.

Spring Garden held a 14-8 advantage at the end of the first quarter and built a 34-18 edge at halftime. The Panthers went on a 33-11 run in the third quarter to take a 67-29 lead.

Spring Garden travels to Faith Christian on Tuesday.
