Spring Garden girls roll past Class 6A Southside of Gadsden 69-40

SPRING GARDEN – Ace Austin delivered 30 points, including a pair of 3-pointers, along with eight rebounds, seven assists, four blocks and two steals in leading the Spring Garden Lady Panthers to a 69-40 basketball victory over Class 6A Southside of Gadsden on Thursday.

Maggie Jarrett sank three treys and had 17 points, four rebounds, three blocks, two assists and a steal for the Lady Panthers (22-1). Olivia Law posted 10 points, nine rebounds, two assists, two steals, two blocks. Kristen Lewis finished with nine points on three treys.

Spring Garden built a 20-7 first-quarter advantage and held a 44-19 edge at halftime. The Lady Panthers led 58-28 at the end of three quarters.

Spring Garden travels to Gadsden City on Monday.
