* WHAT…Heavy snow possible, mixing at times with sleet and freezing rain. Total snow and sleet accumulations between 2 and 5 inches possible.
* WHERE…Blount, Calhoun, Cherokee, Clay, Cleburne, Etowah, Fayette, Jefferson, Lamar, Marion, Randolph, Shelby, St. Clair, Talladega, Walker, and Winston Counties.
* WHEN…From late Thursday night through late Friday night.
* IMPACTS…Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will likely become slick and hazardous. Travel could be very difficult to impossible. The hazardous conditions could impact the Friday morning and evening commutes.
