SPRING GARDEN – Ace Austin led five Spring Garden girls in double figures in an 87-4 basketball rout of Gaylesville on Monday.

Austin collected 26 points, seven rebounds, six steals, five assists and three blocks for the Lady Panthers (5-0). Maggie Jarrett tossed in16 points and had three assists. Kristen Lewis connected on three 3-pointers and had 11 points, four rebounds, three assists and three steals. Avery Steward came away with10 points, including a pair of treys, with seven rebounds, four steals, three assists and two blocks. Olivia Law posted 10 points, 14 rebounds, nine steals, five assists and a block.

Laci Jo McMurray netted nine points on three treys with a pair of steals. Montana Highfield finished with five points, 11 rebounds, an assist and a steal.

Spring Garden held Gaylesville (0-5) scoreless through three quarters. The Lady Trojans scored all four of their points in the fourth quarter.

Spring Garden hosts Jacksonville Christian on Friday. Gaylesville hosts Crossville on Tuesday.
